Act April 2025 – Beginning with the september 2025 act, all students testing on a saturday, both online and on paper, will experience this version. Starting in april 2025, students who choose to take the online act test will have their act superscore calculated using the new method incorporating english, math, and. It will be 2 hours and 5 minutes long (without breaks) and the science section will be optional.
The act will introduce a shorter, digital test at select locations starting april 5th, 2025. Register for the april, june, or july act test by march 16 and get a voucher for a second test anytime through summer 2026. You may have heard the act is changing in 2025, and registration is now open for the april, june, and july test dates (as of december 5). Students will be able to choose which version of the test they take. The test enhancements described below will apply to only the digital version of the act starting in april 2025, then will apply to all tests—both paper and digital—in september 2025.so the april, june, and july 2025 test dates will allow students to choose between the current paper test or the 'enhanced' digital test.
July 12, 2025* june 6: You can add the writing test and change between paper or online testing if a seat is available. More specifically, students who take the digital act will experience the enhanced test starting in april 2025.
The april act generally takes place on the second or third saturday of the month. July 4 *no test centers are scheduled in new york for the july test date. Early december is expected to see.
